 “Roybal Foundation Receives Award on behalf of the Honorable Edward R. Roybal: Legislative Pioneer from The Wall-Las Memorias on December 1, 2011”
The membership of The Wall-Las Memorias Project and their Executive Director Richard L. Zaldivar, will present to Roybal Foundation Executive Director Ed Roybal Jr. an award on behalf of his late father, Congressman Edward R. Roybal honoring him for being a pioneer in the fight against AIDS and for his legislative advocacy on behalf of the community. Noche de las Memorias is a special night which commemorates those who have died from AIDS with song, poetry, prayer and personal testimonies. The event is open and free to the community. There is an expected audience of at least 500 people.
